Sarah Palin

September 21, 2008 Leave a comment Go to comments

I just read the current lead article at the New York Times website, on the change in status of Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, and I realized yet again that for the last week we have been in the midst of an historic moment in US banking and finance.  But what has filled my mind during this last week isn’t the fate of Lehman, Merrill Lynch, AIG, WaMu, and the rest, but Sarah Palin.  Perhaps in 45 days Obama-Biden will win the election and she will go back to being nothing more than the governor of a small state, and in a few years people will wonder what all the fuss was about. (Or perhaps in a few years she will be president!)  But in the meantime, I can’t get her out of my mind.  I could say more, but Andrew Sullivan has been saying it all for weeks in his blog The Daily Dish, so I’ll just refer you to him. See in particular his series of posts with the title The Odd Lies of Sarah Palin.
